Active Reflection

This module required me to further develop my individual skill set and employ this knowledge to create innovative design solutions. The creative design process from concept through to development and final product was appropriately documented. You will also expand and strengthen your digital skills relevant to your subject specialism.

I was tasked with picking a brand to use as inspiration to create my own brand, along with a lookbook and brand guidelines. I chose to pick the brand ACRONYM as my inspiration, as its focus is on making our everyday lives easier. Its clothing that works harder for us, lasts longer, and are things we can trust to do exactly what they need to do and more. Michaela Sachenbacher and Errolson Hugh established ACRONYM® in 1994 as a stand-alone design firm with a focus on the fusion of fashion and technology. My chosen theme for this brief was ‘raving’ and so I found the lightweight and technical designs of ACRONYM to be a perfect fit. I used aspects of the brand to create ACTIVE REFLECTION, a raving clothing capsule with a thought into the mechanisms needed to enjoy raving to the fullest, in style. I created logos and favicons, customer profile examples, branding, pricing, a lookbook, and clearly defined brand guidelines.
